IMDT Partnership Grading courses
We are very excited to now be offering the IMDT Partnership Grades with our IMDT approved trainer Alex.
The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) Partnership Grades are very much like the Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards - but focus more on the partnership with your dog than obedience exercises. By going through the grades you can see the tangible improvements in the partnership with your dog.
Everything taught in these classes has a practical, usable focus behind them.
You will be working towards exercises such as:
Sit/ Down with duration
Loose lead walking - with sits and turns
Recall
Health check your dog
Tricks like bow, spin & Twist
Building up to meeting someone without jumping up, emergency stops, recall away from play
This course is offered in a block of 4 weeks at a time. You start off working towards grade one, once you have achieved this you can then move on to grade two. On average it takes between 6-8 weeks to achieve each of the first few grades.
This course is offered in blocks of 4 weeks. Initially you’ll sign up for a 4 week assessment block (£80 introductory offer), then after this you’ll move to 4 week rolling blocks (£70).
Classes start on Thursday 12th Sept, 7:30-8:30pm at Clayton community centre (ST5 4BN) and run every Thursday. As long as there as spaces, you can start any week!
Please note: your dog must have completed a Puppy & Beginner course, 121s or have a good understanding of basic obedience to attend this course. Dogs should be dog and people friendly, if you’re unsure if your dog meets this criteria then please message me before booking. Refunds will not be able to be issued if your dog is unsuitable if contact was not made prior to you starting.
These are in-person classes, shipping address is purely to enable purchasing.
